Korean Airlines – Expansion and Accomplishments

May 1st 2011 -

Korean Air initially began in 1948, with the name Korea National Airlines. Korean Air was a privately held company which ended up filing for bankruptcy in 1962. After yet another rough beginning in 1969, the structure of today’s Korean Air was initially created. One thing that is impressive about this company is it has grown 150 times since their third and final start in the late 60s. They made their strength of mind to repeat their growth efforts know for the upcoming years. As a business, the solitary element which has allowed them to continue on their rise is their keenness for ascertaining knowledge and being flexible. They have been able to make their knack obvious on many different occasions, in which they have been faced with opposition.

Korean Air, or KAL for Korean Air Lines, has over forty years of hard won experience that places them where they are today. There have been a high number of airlines which have had to put up with harsh conditions in many shapes and forms. Between the late part of the 1940′s and the beginning of the 1960′s, KAL learned they were not exempt, as they had two instances in which they just were not quite up to snuff. The aviation management structure of Korean Air brings decades of experience and knowledge. That on top of quite a few intelligent moves with the exploration of cargo and aerospace puts this business as a frontrunner of the aviation industry connections.

Korean Air, in 2007, had nearly 17,000 verifiable employees. Further into the year, they made it known that they were aiming at contesting with on-ground transportation railway lines. As expected, they ended up developing a reasonably priced carrier that wouldn’t drain your bank account. Another feature was to lessen the already stringent security checks for internal, domestic flights with this newer offering. During the summer of 2008, Korean Air set into motion their elucidation which is dubbed Jin Air. This is a subsidiary of the company and consists of appropriate range A300 and B737 aircraft.

Passenger comfort is definitely not neglected on Korean Airlines. For those that travel first class, they will have access to Kosmo Suite seats. They also added the Prestige Sleeper in mid-2009.

The passenger will enjoy the ability to adjust their seat to a flat 180 degree position. An important color in Korea, Celadon Green, is incorporated into Prestige and first-class seating. Recognition and special honor are endowed upon those who actually have elevated flying status.

For years, Korean Air Lines has been involved with other types of the aviation industry’s specialized areas. Due to their relationship with aerospace research and development, they are able to do this. Their activities are not that different from those of other airlines. This company has survived very challenging times through many unexpected events. Currently, this business is not only operating but is improving each and every day. Aerospace research has played a pivotal role in the revenues generated by this company. They also have plans to expand and build relationships with the United States and other airline companies.
